DC has always been a show we’ve made sure we get to, so with it in our diaries since the start of the year, we prepared ourselves for an early start. Setting off at half 6, the weather still looked unsure of what it was going to be for the rest of the day, but we made our way to Chievely services in high spirits to meet the rest of the familia.
As soon as we arrived, the show yet again showed promise. With hundreds of people already queuing to get in, we knew there was going to be some high quality cars on show.
The show was laid out different than last year, with the majority of the show being on the tarmac as opposed to the grass like last year. With a lot more space to accomodate the increased volume of cars, we much preffered the set up over last year, with us setting up right at the front entrance.
With a lot of fresh cars and modifications, of all makes and models, there was enough to keep everyone entertained, and showed a lot of promise for the scene in the shows to come. The standard of cars was higher across the board, which shows everyone is really going all out.
The weather held out just long enough to get through the awards, with two of our own picking up awards in the mk2 category, and again the red lupo picking up a well deserved first in class. We think the judging was fair and the awards were rightly earned.
We will most definitely be making the trip again next year, its always in our calender.
See you all at Inters, Steve – SIC
